LANYARD NECKLACES

In keeping with our theme of Jewellery with a purpose, Speclace has introduced a range of Lanyard Necklaces for women in the workplace. Designed as an alternative to the lanyard strap, the decorative loop on our lanyard necklaces can be used for Work I.D. Cards, Swipe Cards, Keys or Name Badges. A strong detachable lobster Clasp Add On is also available for purchase if needed.

How are Speclaces and Lanyard Necklaces different?

The main difference between our Speclaces and Lanyard Necklaces is the length. Speclaces are slightly shorter and are available in 65cm, 70cm or 75cm lengths to accommodate the length of glasses which will add length to the drop. If a speclace is too long, glasses may dangle in your lap when sitting at a table or a computer, or sway when you walk. Our Lanyard necklaces for Work I.D's, Swipe Cards or Name Badges are longer and are available in 80cm or 85cm lengths. How long should my Lanyard Necklace be?

This depends on your height and your personal preference. The best way to work out the ideal length for you is take a piece of string or ribbon and loop it around your neck to the desired length, then measure it. Take into consideration your Work I.D or Name badge will add some length to the drop.

Choice of Lobster Clasp or Magnetic Break-away clasp

Our Lanyards are available with a choice of a lobster clasp that fastens behind the neck or a break-away magnetic clasp (+ $2.50).

* Please note that some workplace/institutions may require you to wear "Break Away" lanyards. Our basic lanyard necklaces have a lobster clasp that fastens behind the neck, so is not a break away type.
